Organizing the Video Library

Post by bikemike66 »

I have completed a few projects and would like to add some more videos to edit a new one. Is there a way to organize the library so that there aren't eventually hundreds of clips in there?

Hi

You could just simply delete the clips on the library, that would clear some space. This does not affect the project.

The clips in the library are just thumbnails/virtual clips representing the files on the hard drive, right click a clip and select properties, the file name gives the location on the hard drive.

Library Organiser……..
This allows you to create extra library pages “Custom Folders” you can create one for each project if you wished. Click the “down arrow” adjacent to the Video.

Unfortunately when we navigate Video Studio the library automatically switched to the format being edited, Video, Audio, etc. This opens the default library page, we now have to manually select the Custom pages.

The library also has an Export/Import option
Tools or Settings-Library Manager
Exporting the library saves a copy to your pc, can be imported to be used at a later date.
Reset Library restores the library to its default state.
