I just reformatted my Lenovo T61 laptop from Windows XP to Windows 7. Last hurdle is installing the WinDVD software from Lenovo, but am unable to do so. The message says that I must have a prior version of WinDVD to install it; however, because my computer crashed, I have no copy of the earlier version of the software.
Any ideas how or where I can install the program without costing me anything?
Thanks for the help.

Did you register your products with Corel? If so to retrieve your serial numbers, log-in to Corel's website, then click on the link under Your Products, Registered Products. All the products that you have purchased and registered with Corel will be listed there. Copy your serial number from that page.
Most of the current versions just ask for the serial number of an earlier qualifying version. Hopefully that's all you're up against. Some of the older versions actually look for the older versions, meaning they need to be installed or at least have the installation CD in the CD tray. Was your earlier, qualifying version an activated TBYB (trial), ESD(downloaded) or box (CD) version? If it was a TBYB, you may be in luck if it is not too old a version. Just download a trial version, and go through the activation process, inserting the activation key where prompted to do so. Be advised that Serial numbers and activation keys are different, and not interchangeable.
