Hello,
I just finished building my first "serious" (i.e., with lots of clips, titles, sound track, etc.) video for YouTube. It runs about 7 minutes.
I used Video Studio 8 to develop the project. I tried rendering it in the .avi format with no compression, and ended up with something that runs slowly and has the audio badly out of synch. The file size, of course, is huge.
What format and settings are recommended for a project that is going to be put on YouTube? (I would like to use 640 x 480 if possible. That's the size used to build the project).
Thanks!
Bill

Re: Recommended Settings for YouTube?
Hi Bill
Video Studio 8 is very old and as such does not have the same options as the latest version X3.
It’s a little difficult for me to advise, as I think I would choose an option not available to you.
However:-
Using VS8 I would opt for the DVD option
Share Create Video File Pal/Ntsc-DVD
There is also an option to Share Video On Line this will create a WMV file
As you have had problems with audio sync’
Can you give details of any video files you have used in your project,
your video file is probably the culprit rather than the rendered file.

Re: Recommended Settings for YouTube?
Thanks, Trevor.
After posting my query, I did discover and use the "Save Video Online" option and saved the project at the "Best Quality" level. It did the job just fine.
I know it's an old version, but it seems to be working fine for me.
Regards,
Bill
