Installation Problem

Post by Kchan »

Hi Guys.

Ok, so I'm trying to install PaintShop Pro X3 on my laptop, and well, the thing suddenly shut down on me as I apparently left it unplugged and did not notice that my battery was low. I was in the middle of installation then, and now, when I try to install the program, it tells me that I have to remove all files related to it, to which I just press Ok (the only other option on the dialog box is cancel). It then goes to the normal installation window and goes up to around 8%, before closing and giving me the message "Your PC has not been modified, this action is valid only for installed products".

Also, whenever I insert a thumb drive or anything with media in it, it asks me on the autoplay dialog box if I want to open it with PaintShop Pro, but the program is nowhere to be found in my PC. I've tried the ZAP tool, but it doesnt detect anything, I've tried the Digital Studio uninstaller program but nothing happens, I've tried the instructions in this link (http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=37866) but the registry is empty (although for some reason I am being denied access to C>Users>All Users>Application Data, even if I am the admin and I have turned off user control).

Help?
