Did you purchase the ESD(download) or box version? If it is the latter, you need to locate it on your installation CD. If you purchased the download version, it takes a little out-thinking the NOS upacker/installer thingy.. Before PSPP is installed, all the files needed are unpacked to a temp folder on your system. The PSPPro.msi is one of those files. The problem is that, once the program is installed, all the files in the temp folder are deleted. A few weeks ago someone had a problem with using the email function within PSPX3, is this the problem you're having? http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=40111

So anyway what I done, was once the NOS utility finished unpacking into the temp folder, I created another folder, then copied all the files that was unpacked into my folder. That way they were not deleted once the program was finished installing, and I could gain access to the PSPPro.msi file.

Hello jukka,

This has been a recurring issue here in the Corel Forum as well as from calls that we are getting. This steps is similar to the steps that Ron gave you.

1. If the installer for the ESD was downloaded and saved, just run the program and let is complete the unpacking process and while the installation screen is on the screen, open the RUN by pressing the Windows key and letter “R”, then on the text box type %temp% locate the COREL > PaintShop Photo Pro X3 folder > CDS > Locate the PSPPRO.MSi then copy it on the DOWNLOAD folder.
2. Open the PSP X3 and when clicking on FILE > EMAIL > ACTIVE IMAGE the pop appears asking for the PSPPro.msi file, just locate the file that was copied in the Download folder and continue with the installation process.

Its a pity they can't fix this properly so we aren't bothered by it.

I clicked on a file to play in Windows Media Player, and suddenly I get an installer dialog for Paint shop asking for this file - very odd and very user unfriendly.
The world would be easier if people were easier.

I have the same issue, I expected more from Corel and I don't see why a paint program would interfere with movie files like that.

The reg fix in the address
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=41570

did not work

Also reinstalled ffdshow and got the install nag away with Media Player Classic by setting it to use it's internal codec but still the corel nag is on other apps when opening .mp4

Could Corel please just say what file / setting is the one that steals the mp4 decoding from the ffdshow / other decoder that works just fine ?
