VideoStudio 10SE - where is the serial # ??

Post by daverwaterloo »

Just received Videostudio 10 bundled with video capture card.
the only serial # on package isn't valid with install of Videostudio - keeps asking for more/different #s - won't install.
tried using autorun and setup from CD but same problem - version is no longer supported by tech support
:(

Welcome to the forums,

Was it an EasyCap that your VS 10SE came with? If so, that is a knock-off, the legitimate capture device is EzCap, and includes ArcSoft software, not VideoStudio. So there may be a problem with them supplying a legitimate serial number. What's found on the packaging is about the only place that I know of to get a serial number. I'm sure that it states it is Ulead VideoStudio, not Corel, and so Corel would not be able to provide you with a serial number for it.

We've had a lot of recent complaints regarding VS10SE, and of course they all have come with the EasyCap capture device. Not much we or Corel can do about them. :(

What is it with all of them all of a sudden? Were they on sale at the dollar store?

I've been wondering as to why the sudden influx of these. Must be someone giving them away on the street corner.

Hello daverwaterloo,

Ron is correct, even if we want to provide a serial number we can no longer generate one for you. But if you want to really use VideoStudio just try the latest version of VideoStudio which is also compatible to Windows Vista and Windows 7. You can download the trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.

On Ebay I see them going for as little as $6.
That's half what I paid for that POS.
Still funny how there is a sudden influx of people finding these and wanting to convert analog video.
