Welcome to the forums!
What you need to do is gGo to the Microsoft site to download and install Windows Media Encoder 9 series. That should give a bigger range of HD profiles.

Re: problems with video studio 10
Welcome to the forums,
A couple of things first..
1. Are you using a full version of VS 10, or an SE version that came bundled with an EasyCap? If it is not an SE version, is it the vanilla version or the Plus? The latter had more capability. You do have all the patches installed for VS 10? I'm not sure the Vista patch that was issued shortly after Vista was released, will help much for Win7, but worth a try if you don't have it installed.
2. What is "my m8? Is that MSP 8?
Now somehow you must be getting your VS10 to run on Win7, which I know is not impossible, but problems may jump up from time to time. Anyway you are seeing all the WMV profiles, specifically the HD profiles correct? Selecting one of them still causes your project to render to a pocket-size? If so there's a glitch somewhere with the Media 9 encoder. Do you have the WIndows Media9 Encoder Series installed? That's where all the profiles come from. If not you need to install it. Do a google search for Windows Media Encoder 9 Series.

Re: problems with video studio 10
Hello uleader,
If you are using VS 10 on Win7 as indicated on your SYS Info, VideoStudio 10 is not compatible with Windows 7, that can be the reason why you cannot use the program properly since the incompatibility with Windows 7 is messing up the program.
You can visit http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 4516325170, to know which version of the Corel Software is compatible with Windows 7.
There is a work around for you to make old program works on Windows 7, however we cannot assure you this is a 100% fool proof. You can use the Windows 7 Program Compatibility and the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC, which are both from Microsoft.
You can follow the steps for Windows 7 Program Compatibility from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... of-Windows
You can download and install the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtua ... nload.aspx.
You also want to consider upgrading your Corel software, since the latest version of VideoStudio is full compatible with Windows 7, you can download the 30 day full working trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.

Re: problems with video studio 10
The user subsequently sent me a private message confirming he had downloaded Windows Media Encoder 9 series and that it had worked.
