VS X3 and ffdshow codecs

VS X3 and ffdshow codecs
I am having a problem with AVI playback with Media Player 12 in Windows 7 64 bit. Will the codecs in ffdshow cause a problem with VS X3? Thank you.

No I don't believe the ffdshow codec will cause a problem with VS X3. I would caution against installing a codec pack, that has numerous codecs.
