Just recorded a TV program from my HDTV card in PAL format. After editing it, I want to burn a DVD with the rendered video but it is approx 5.5GB in length.
I "sense" that there is a way of shrinking it using the time function, but can it be done seamlessly by saying, "fit onto a single-sided DVD?" (At the moment I convert it to a video file then pass it through DVD Shrink to undertake the necessary compression.. If I have to use the time function, what time is used for a single-sided DVD?

Use a bitrate calculator, or if you have UVS 9, use the Fit & Burn feature to have UVS compress the video as needed.
