No longer able to fit images to screen in Photoimpact 10
Can someone please help me. After using Photoimpact 10 for several years, the program crashed on me yesterday, and when I reopened it, all my settings were lost, no biggie there, I reset everything, but now when the images open to the workspace, they no longer fit to the window. When you rotate or flip an image, the blue bar at the top goes all the way across the screen, and leaves a grey screen with the active image only in the middle of it. (clicking on the square in the corner does not resolve this) In all the years I have worked in this version, images always opened to fit to the window, and the window rotated with the photo, thus making it possible to move images around on the workspace, and view several open images at the same time. When resizing, similarly, the window (blue bar at the top & frame) resized with the image, again so that all images can be selected from the cascaded view on the screen. This is no longer possible, and I don't have a clue what to do to return to my regular view and workspace. I'm a photographer who uses this program to process between 500 and 3000 images a week, and I need to be able to return my view to the way I'm used to working, as the way I had it set up provides me with the fastest workflow. Any help in this issue would be GREATLY appreciated, as I'm really frustrated. I've tried all the help topics, and clicked on everything in the menu, but nothing will let the images load as they always have in the past
Thanks, Dave
Thanks, Dave

Welcome to the forums,
The only setting that I'm aware of is the Adjust Window setting found on the toolbar for the zoom tool. See if that box is checked.

Re: No longer able to fit images to screen in Photoimpact 10
Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I don't even see an adjust window setting. Under the 'view' menu, there is a 'fit to window' setting which will fit the images to the standard window frame I'm used to, but it will no longer resize or rotate with the image. (leaves the blank grey area as big as the original window size if you make it smaller or turn it again) Not to mention if you have 150+ photos to process or edit one day, clicking an option or having to hit keys on the keyboard each time will add a considerable amount of time to the job. I'm at wits end, because I even tried a complete uninstall and reinstall, cleaned the registry, cache and everything else, and the damned program reinstalled with all the previous setting remembered, including the strange new view. I have this program on 2 other PC's as well, and have been using it since it's release, and have never encountered this before, the window always resized, rotated, and moved with the image. unless I purposely clicked on a different zoom setting. And unfortunately, the machine it screwed up on is my editing one that is attached to my large, lab quality dual monitors. Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Dave

Oh, I found the adjust window setting, yes, that was the problem. Thank you very much Ron. Sometimes it just takes a fresh set of eyes to look at a problem. Ignore my previous post everyone.
