rotation on clone tool?

Post by JA_Verburg »

Hi,

There is a setting in the clone tool options palette that says 'Rotation'. I can't find what it does, the help file doesn't mention it. I was hoping it would let me rotate the clone source, when applying it to the new location, but no matter what value I choose it clones just like it always did.

Does anyone know what it is for, and if i can use it to rotate my clone source?

It rotates the brush head. Naturally if you're using the full circle head of the brush you won't notice anything but that's all it does is rotate the head.

If you want to rotate the source you'll have to literally rotate the source on its own layer. Luckily you can clone from a hidden layer so that's not a problem.

Brush settings are close to universal between all brushes. Here's a tutorial I did I don't know if it helps or not but.... yeah
