Toolbar Customization Disappeared

Post by CMurd »

I am using the trial version of PSP X3, although I have already ordered a full version (it's being shipped to me).

The trial version crashed the other day, and when I restarted it, my customizations to the toolbars had disappeared. Will this happen every time my purchased version crashes? or is there some limitation in the trial version that caused this to happen?

Thank you.

Did you save the customized tool bars/workspace? If you did not then the answer is yes you will have to rebuild them. If you saved them then try SHIFT + ALT + L
To save a customized workspace after building it SHIFT + ALT + S and name it.

You'll find workspaces under FILE>WORKSPACE

I don't think you will have to do it every time it crashes. I haven't had to, though as suggested you really ought to save your workspace once you've got a set-up that you like. It saves you from having to make major changes if something goes wrong and the bars aren't saved. Smaller changes from there are easy to deal with.

Of course it's not just good for crashes. What's really nice is it helps you get back your set-up if you change computers or if you ever have to reset your system or reinstall Paint Shop Pro for any reason.

I had no idea that I had to save my toolbars. In other programs I've used -- such as previous versions of PSP and WordPerfect -- any changes I made to toolbars were simply permanent.
