Black Lab, Yes that is what I am doing.
Ron, I am putting a single title. But last week when I had it working that was what I was doing also.
One thing that I think is different from last week is when I put my created color snapshot in the project, the whole color clip comes up bound by handles and does not fill the full screen. I don't recall it doing that last week.

Re: Sports Video Editing
That's exactly what it does! You've taken a snapshot of the timeline - it's now a jpeg or bmp image of the timeline. You cannot edit it. You can move it or resize it, but you can't make any changes to it. It's not a project file anymore. It is as if it has become a fixed part of the snapshot.
With that clip selected on the timeline it will appear in the Preview Window. If you do not have Preferences set to show your overlay clips as full screen it will appear much smaller with the handles on the corner. Simply right click on the Preview Window and choose to make it full screen if you wish.

Re: Sports Video Editing
A really simple method in Corel to add a marker to a frozen frame, is, start as has been said, to stop at the moment where the player needs to be identified, this is done in Edit mode, stop the footage at the point where this player is best shown, with the video highlighted, choose - Options, Video and - Take a Snopshot. This puts a single frame in the images collection, so use multi edit to split the video start to where the still is to be inserted, then from the next frame to end, this will place two video blocks on screen, this is okay, use Story line mode and between the two blocks, insert the still frame of the player. Then the easy part, use titles to create a multi title over the still of the player, use a character that you wish, an arrow or a capital O in a nice font, Like Aerial, to mark the player, then move and size the marker to suit where the player is.
Once this is done, run the project and check if you like the result, if not, back to edit and change the character or its position.
I have used this on Video Studio 10 and now on X3, no difference.
Hope this helps
