faded edges X3

Post by Jim V »

Still new to this version; I have not yet found the route to the control that will permit fading the edges of the image to transparent.

What?

You said you are new to this version so I'm assuming that either you know what the command is in previous versions then and you can tell us what you're talking about, or you're new to this software and are coming here from something else?

The only thing that I know of that is similar to what you described is the Vignette script. And all that does is select the whole image then contract the selection and give it a feather. It then inverts the selection and hits Delete.

You get to this by turning on the scrip toolbar (View->Toolbars->Script) then selecting the script from the script list and hitting the play button.

That got it.

I'd never needed to do this before; had generally needed little beyond basic image correction before, and as more sophisticated needs came along, have finally upgraded to something current.

Thanks.
