text input box?

Post by Surebrec »

I purchased paint shop photo pro x3 and after using it, I cannot figure out how to set it so that the text input box appears when applying text.

as it is now, and I'm assuming this is a default setting, rather than the ONLY setting, if I want to apply text, it applies it directly to the image I am working on.

this is not how I am used to having it, and in past versions of the program, the input box was the default method for text.

how (if possible) do I set the program to bring up the text input box when I want to use anything text related?

For some unknown reason they changed this in X3. If you hold the shift key when clicking the text button, it will enable the text box that you are used to seeing.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

thanks for the reply.

I saw a video on youtube a few weeks ago showing how to enable the box, but couldn't find it after purchasing the program.

I take it I'm going to have to use the shift method every time I want to apply text now then? there's nothing permanent in the program preferences section that activates it by default.
