Videostudio X3 Crashes

Post by blake_446 »

Videostudio X3 crashes everytime I try to export a video. It doesn't matter the file type inputed or how you are trying to export it. It even crashes when trying to export one of the default title screens included with the program. Have tried a clean install with no luck. I have also insured I am using the latest version.

Anyone know of a solution???

System specs are in my profile to the right and it crashes no matter what kind of input I use or what output I use. For example I can open the program and select any of the default Title templates and drag it down into the time line then select upload to youtube and the program will crash everytime giving me the attached error message.

Any additional info needed just let me know.

Sounds to me like the Quicktime bug. Uninstall Apple Quicktime and install version 7.6.

See the following article. Link to the installer is there.

It doesn;t sound like the quicktime bug to me...he's using a wmv video file and tried exporting to all sorts of files.

I suspect it's a corrupted .wmv file. We need to know more about the source of the video files used.

the OP needs to check Event Viewer (in Windows) straight after the crash has happened for clues as to what app is causing the crash.

He should look at the DMP file. Some of it is readable, though not much.

Alternatively, open a trouble ticket with Corel and upload the DMP file. They will analyze and advise.
