Go to help and it hangs the program can not close

Video Studio Pro X3 when I click on the help icon in the upper right of the window a new window appears with two gears in the upper right and a close x. Nothing else shows but a white window. I can not close the window and it hangs the program. I have installed the latest update and that did nothing. The program seems to work fine in editing etc..

Any ideas what to do about getting the help to work?

You may want to update your DirectX and if that did not work then you may need to perform a clean reinstallation by following the steps from this link: http://corel.custhelp.com/app/answers/d ... _id/764392

This happens with both the video pro x3 and the photo x3.
Maybe it is direct x but I am always keeping updates and this is on windows 7 ultima. I downloaded these apps from corel not DVDs.

Hi

Even if you have the latest auto updates, the manual update of Direct X does cure some strange problems with Video Studio.

There is a post at the top of this forum regarding Direct x.

I believe this is the latest version.

Download, Extract files, run DXSETUP.exe
