Just purchased X3 Ultimate and it won't update.

Just used the Corel cleanup tool to remove PSP X3 and installed PSP X3 Ultimate.
When I check for new updates it says there is a new update available but will not download anything.

What am I doing wrong?
The version I have now is X3 Ultimate 13.2.1.7

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. But if you have X3 Ultimate then it's only Patch #3. It breaks compatability with some plugins, so if that's a problem I would say don't worry about this. But if it's not a problem, or if you want to run scripts with TKinter, then go a head and download it manually.

Is the update for X3 Ultimate different then the regular X3 updates?

Nope. Ultimate and the regular editions are not different. The graphics are different and so are the version numbers. But otherwise it's the exact same program. The ultimate version just happens to already include the second patch installed by default. Oh and it comes with all of that extra software but that's it.

So you can update with the exact same updates as the rest of us.

If you have the PSP X3 Ultimate, I would suggest that you use the HELP > CHECK FOR UPDATES process to make sure that you have an updated program. That will be the best way for you, since the previous updates that was released are for the old PSP X3.

So the regular X3 patch is no different for the Ultimate version?

Installing patch 3 will not mess up the new plug ins or anything on X3 ultimate?

Patch #3 is exactly the same for Ultimate as it is for the regular version. Abiel is talking about the first two patches being for the old version. X3 Ultimate already has the changes provided in the first two patches. At least I'm assuming that's what he's talking about because when Ultimate came out I asked, called, emailed, and chatted to numerous people (originally just 3 but it grew) who all said the same thing. X3 Ultimate is just X3 with Patch 2 pre-installed.

So it will break compatability with some plugins, not all. The KPT plugins will be fine, as will many others. I have many that work perfectly. Things like Topaz ReMask and ImageSkill Background Remover will be broken though.

Manually updated X3 Ultimate with Service Pack 3 and it's still works.
