I am not sure this is the right place to post this question, but here goes. I want to put PSPX or newer on my Laptop which is Windows Vista Home Prem.
I have been using PSP X on my old computer for many years (7-10 versions). I know that Vista has a problem with PSP so what steps do I need to take to get it up and running? Thank you for the help in advance.

Re: Running PSP X under Vista
PSPP X2 and X3 both work fine under Vista.
PSP X and XI need to have their latest patches installed.
Corel's patches can be found by using the link at the top of this page or http://www.corel.com/patches. The last patch for XI is 11.20. You only need to run the 11.20 patch to update any earlier version.
In the case of PSP X there are four patches. Unfortunately they all need to be installed in order. So if you are starting from the original release of PSP X (10.00) you need to run the 10.01 patch, then 10.02, then 10.03 and finally 10.10. The first three are found via the same Corel patch link given above. For some odd reason you need to go to a different link to get the 10.10 patch - http://corel.custhelp.com/app/answers/d ... _id/760272. That patch is particularly aimed at improving Vista compatibility.
Once patched PSP X and XI work fine with Vista except for one problem. If you use more than one printer there is a button labelled "Printer..." on the Print dialogue box that lets you swap printers. In Vista that button is missing in PSP X and XI. To change printers you need to temporarily change the Windows default printer before printing in PSP.
