Just purchased an easy cap usb device, which came with this program.
No manuals included, so I am stumbling through blindly.
Does a manual exist in downloadable pdf format?
I'm trying to capture videos from my Sony Digital Handycam (DCR-TRV510) NTSC format
Every 30 seconds swallows 1 gb hard drive space...is this normal?
Any shot where the camera pans or moves is reflected in playback as distorted ripples on the screen edges
When I playback from myt handycam to tv directly, everything seems sharp
Captured to video it is almost blurry in spots
Any correction available for this?
Could it be that I am capturing incorrectly?
I am a novice and newcomer to Ulead's video editing, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi trahcwolf -- welcome to the forums!!
However, we may not have good news for you. See this very recent thread with another user and an EasyCap device: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 04#p210304

If you have a "Digital HandyCam" why are you capturing with an analog-to-digital device? With a digital camcorder you should be capturing directly to your pc via firewire.

Re: Ulead Video Studio 10 (SE?)
Sorry...
I missed that rather obvious point!!
I simply saw 'Easy Cap' and didn't take in the rest...
trahcwolf -- your Digital 8 camcorder has a small Firewire port on it somewhere. In the Sony manual it will be called an i-Link port. You connect it to your PC, as BlackLab suggested, via a Firewire cable. If your computer doesn't have a Firewire port, then buy a card and install it. That is the system Sony developed to transfer the video from this sort of camera, and it does it superbly well. Quite apart from the problems with Easy Cap, even if the latter worked, the captured video would still be rubbish compared to that captured by Firewire. Moreover, if you capture it, as you should, in DV/AVI format, it is about the easiest format there is to edit. Once edited it is equally simply converted to DVD-compatible mpeg-2 if that is your intention.
