Is it just me or do the keyboard shortcuts not work when using this software to play Blue-ray? They work fine if I play a DVD, but they do not work at all if I play a Blue-ray disk.
For example, Space should pause or resume playback. That doesn't work. If I manually pause playback and press N (Step) that doesn't work. Or if I press P (Capture) or K (Bookmark) or Ctrl+P (Instant replay), those don't work. In fact, Capture and Bookmarks don't even work when I access them from the menu. They're grayed out.
The arrow and Enter keys function correctly only at the main menu, however.
Is this lack of functionality a problem with the Blue-ray support in WinDVD? I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit with more than enough power to support this package.
Thanks.

It's not just you. The keyboard shortcuts only work when playing DVD's. When playing Blu-ray disc's all of the keyboard input is directed to BDJ so that you can type using the keyboard when using features like BD-Live. They really need a way to make the shortcuts work. I have a few Blu-ray's with a PIP feature, but I can't listen to the secondary audio, because the Ctrl-A is ignored.

Chancellor23 and JeffRandall -
I submitted a query on this forum 1 May'10 regarding the inability to frame step:

So far, no one from Corel has bothered to respond, and no participant of this support group seems to know how to do it. The 'n' key clearly doesn't work.

Yeah, its unfortunate that Corel doesn't take a more active role when it comes to customers' issues. This forum is like a ghost town. I've tried e-mailing them for months, but their link to send e-mails is broken and loops with "Rightnow Authentication".
By the way, the 'N' key does work, but only with regular DVD's. ALL of the shortcuts don't respond when playing anything with BDJ. That's because they have simple shorcuts like 'E' for eject. You wouldn't want the disc ejecting, while you're typing you name in when using a BD-Live login. So they opted to ignore all of the shortcuts and send all keystrokes to the BDJ application.
There are several ways they could solve this issue. One would be to use more complex shortcuts like, Ctrl 'E' for eject, something that you wouldn't normally input. Or they could do like their competitors, and have an option to disable keyboard input for BDJ applications. I don't care for that solution, but anything is better than having no shortcuts available.
