VSP X3 slide show delay

Post by rick_urquhart »

I have created a slide show by Inserting Media file to Timeline, Insert Photos. I then Share, and then Create Video File. This is a great product, so easy. However I noticed that the time delay on each picture frame is about 3 seconds. I have manually increased each slide to 5 seconds using the slider on the timeline. But this is cumbersome. Is there a place to change this default 3 seconds to what I want in the software? I cannot find it.
Thanks,
Rick

Welcome to the forums, Rick!

And thank goodness, your question is an easy one for once! Go to Settings > Preferences > Edit, and up near the top of that tab, you can change the photo/colour duration to what you want.

Thanks Ken; well it does not seem that easy. I have experimented a bit and changing that number does not change the time span of each slide. In fact the slide time is not the length of the bar on the time bar. So I created a new project and presto, it took the number I had assigned as per your suggestion. So there must be some order of things here. What do you do first. And second when you have saved a project say with 3 seconds, how do you load it and change everything to 5 seconds. That is really what I am trying to do.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick

The image duration set in preferences applies to new images inserted to the timeline.

You can change existing image duration by :-

Selecting the images in the timeline, Shift + Click will select multiple images

Then

Edit-Change Photo/Colour duration
