Can't import Cool 3D PS file into VS 8 or 9(trial)

Post by Ron P. »

Hi,
I've been visiting this forum for awhile, picking up some great tips.
I'm currently using Video Studio 8(upgrade), and version 9 trial. I also use Cool 3D Production Studio.
I ran into a problem and uninstalled-reinstalled version 8. Now while working on a video I attemted to import a c3d file into VS 8, and received the error dispatched failed and to check to see if Cool 3D was installed.
Let me guess since I had to re-install VS 8, I now have to re-install Cool 3D PS?

I put the C3D PS cd in, to see if I could do an "over install" like a "repair" option alot of programs have available, however it wants to un-install it.
I find that to be rediculous, because Ulead doesn't do a good job of unistall anyway, however they don't allow overinstalls....

So am I correct that in order to get VS 8 or 9 (tried it there also) to import the c3d file, I must re-install C3D PS?

Thanks
Ron

PS: I really do like Ulead, however I wonder where their common sense went.....

Just updating my post,
Don't know what was corrupt, but in order to get things back to normal, I had to re-install VS8, and after doing so, VS8 or VS9 wouldn't recognize that I had 3DPS installed. So I had to re-install it too... What a pain...
