Is this called photoimpact or photo x3? Does the new X3 have the same options as the older versions or have some things been removed?

It's PhotoImpact X3. As far as the same options, it does have much of the same, unless you're referring to PI 5. In that case I would suspect it has much more. PI 11 is the oldest version I have.

Yes, if the old version that you are referring is the PI X2 or PhotoImpact 12, they have the same features with just minor differences. Of course if you have a much older Photoimpact, then that's another story.
