requirements for x3.

Post by brucefl »

I have VSX2, and was thinking of getting X3. I have a pent. 1.3 gig process 4 gigs of ram. Though the min I think is 1.8 gig processor,
should it work suffiently? Was just wondering. This comp. has worked pretty, had not decided to upgrade it yet. I think i have 512 megs on the video card.

Also I noticed upgrade and full are the ame price, and reason to get one over the other?

Thanks Bruce

Bruce,

I'm not seeing that the full and upgrade are the same price. Full=$69.00, Upgrade=$49.99. As far as the program, there is no difference, just the pricing. Since you own an earlier qualifying version, you can get it at the upgrade price.

Your computer should be alright, so long as you are not intending on working with High-Def video. My main editing machine is depicted in my profile below my avatar. Not much, if any more powerful than yours. VS X3 works fine for me. I don't do any High-Def, just DV.

Same thing for me. X3 runs great for me editing DV-AVI. It all depends what you will be editing.
