Can I Import my Own Audio files To Video Studio Pro x3

Post by Tony S »

Hi.
I know how to import video files to th VS program. I would like to know if we are limeted to the default audio files that come with the software? Or is there is any way to import my own audio files from my hard drive to VS? If so, how is this done correctly?
I sure hope that there is a way to use my own music files. Can someone fill me in?
Thank you for your response.

... Ummm... right click in an audio track and choose 'Insert Media"... Browse to where your audio files are stored and choose the one(s) you want want. Click OK and they should appear and be editable, like any other file. I am assuming here, though, that they are one of the standard audio formats, like .wav or mp3. Note, though, that VS sometimes has trouble with certain mp3 formats (notably those using the LameMP3 codec. If you do have trouble with your format, then convert the files to standard wav, and insert those.

You can also import audio files to the Audio library in exactly the same way as you import Video files to the Video Library - and - images/photos to the Images library.

Just open the appropriate library - click on the opening folder next to the library name - browse to the file and click 'open' then it will be readily available in your library for future use.

You can also open windows explorer and simply drag the audio file onto the time line.
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
