How can I stop Paint Shop Pro X2 from optimizing jpegs at a high level when doing a batch process?
I want it to use compression factor 1 and retain EXIF information.
Bulk Process uses too high a compression factor

Re: Bulk Process uses too high a compression factor
I'm not overly familiar with batch processing, though I imagine it uses the exact same optimizer settings that the regular save options do.
Go to your optimizer settings and change them to fit your needs.
File->Export->JPEG Optimizer
You can set the compression rate, determine if it saves the EXIF data or not, standard or progressive display for slower connections, and the chroma sub-sampling if you know what that is. I don't.
But those settings should be used by default no matter which operation is saving them.

Thanks LeviFiction.
All those settings were already made and seem to have no effect unfortunately.

Re: Bulk Process uses too high a compression factor
Just took a look at it, can I assume then that you set those settings inside the batch Process dialog as well? I was obviously wrong about the default one working with the Batch Process command. I should have checked it out before offering advice. But if you hit the "Options" button in the batch process dialog then it gives you the optimization settings that are going to be used in the process. These setting obviously don't take from the default optimizer.
But that's all I can think of from there.
