Re: uploading to you tube
I don't think so, as that was designed with the 10 minute time limit in mind.

Although there is no reason why you cannot produce a video file of any suitable format at any length inside VideoStudio and then just upload it to Youtube on Youtube itself without using VS for the upload.

Re: uploading to you tube
Well I am having the same issue, Just a few days back, I found an alert on my youtube upload page, that now I can upload videos of more than 15 minutes in length. I like the HD quality 16:9 produced by Video Studio exactly for youtube. I am really impressed but I want to produce the video of the same quality and the ratio but more than of 15 minutes. Is there a possibility to do that? I know the current version might not be offering this but isn't there any patch or updated bundle that can do this for me???

Re: uploading to you tube
Surely we have already answered your question tanoli, No you cannot make a video for youtube longer than 10 minutes in VideoStudio - but you CAN make a video of any format and any length to upload to Youtube from within Youtube.
If there had been a patch or update which could solve the problem we would of said so in answer to 1967spud, so there is nothing that can be done in VideoStudio at the moment.
Whether Corel will change the time allowed in any future versions of VideoStudio or release a patch for the current version is something that none of us in these forums knows - and IF any one does not they are not going to say until Corel actually release something.

Re: uploading to you tube
Hi tanoli
Video Studios 16:9 HD upload to Youtube template is:-
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1280 x 720, 25 fps (I am using Pal)
Frame-based
H.264 Main Profile Video: 5000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps
The process does limit you to 10 minutes.
There is no reason why you cannot render/create a video file in excess of 10 minutes.
You may be best to use Make Movie Templates Manager to create a template.
Select New
Choose Mpeg 4 as the File Format
Give it a name
Use H.264-main as the compression video type
From the General tab set the frame size 1280 x 720
Then set the frame rate.
Close the template manager.
Share Create Video File, choosing your template, listed at the bottom.
This will create your video file.
Log on to YouTube to upload your video.

Re: uploading to you tube
Brancee: Thank you so much for your detailed reply. This definitely helped me clear my mind
trevor andrew: Does the format you mentioned produces HD video with 16:9
Actually I love when youtube shows HD icons with my video
and you asked me that Why I can't render the video of more than 15 minutes. Actually I want to use Youtube option in Video studio to render my video because it exactly renders the HD video for youtube, and I have noticed that the video created using Video studio's youtube option, the result is great

Re: uploading to you tube
Yes it uses the same properties as using the youtube option.tanoli wrote:trevor andrew: Does the format you mentioned produces HD video with 16:9
Ok try this.
Select the Upload to Youtube option
Select Mpeg4 HD
View the lower panel marked "properties"
Use your mouse to select text, copy and paste these details to a word doc.
Use make movie manager to create the same template.

Re: uploading to you tube
Dear Andrew,
I am having a problem again. You showed me the way how I can produce HD video with Video studio's youtube attributes, I followed the steps and it helped and I have been able to do that, but I am having a problem again. I reinstalled my windows 7. Now after installing the video studio, I edited a video and when wanted to render the video, I couldn't find the attributes which were previously there. Please guide me again. I followed your previous post but I don't see those options there anymore.
And another shocking thing for me here, Previously when I used to render the video using youtube tool, it used to allow me 15 minutes video, but now its saying you can't create video of more than 10 minutes, where to change those settings?

Re: uploading to you tube
Hi
As you have re-installed Video Studio, have you applied all patches.
By the way, what version of Video Studio are you using?
YouTube upload using Video Studio is limited to 10 minutes, as far as I know it has always been 10 minutes
You cannot change this option in Video Studio, its 10 minutes.
The reason for creating a template in Make Movie Templates Manager was to produce a video longer than 10 minutes.
The options to create a template are the same as I posted earlier.
At what point do you get lost?

Re: uploading to you tube
I am using Video studio x3, I kept the same settings, I didn't change anything
Believe it or not, previously it used to limit me to 15 minutes. I don't know why its getting limited to 10 minutes this time.
And at what point I got lost is, when my editing was done, I stepped ahead to render my video, I couldn't locate the option which you told me last time.
Please see the attachment.
