I have just installed VS Pro X3 from the CD. I started the program and clicked on Easy Edit. Windows started installing MLE.msi. Part way through it stopped and said the MLE.msi file on disk was not valid. Requested a valid MLE.msi file. Showed where the file was on the CD, but still said it was not valid.
What is going on? How get a valid MLE.msi file? Where do I store it?

Re: VS X3 MLE.msi file not recognized
Welcome to the forums,
I'm not sure where you could get that specific file. It may also be a deeper problem than a single file. Try coping your CD to your hard drive, and then install it. Are you running Win XP SP3 ? If not you might need to update it.
Where did you purchase or obtain your copy? If from Corel, you may need to request a replacement. Also after doing a little searching, that file seems to be specific to VS X3, and possibly the Digital Studio components (DVD Factory 2010 and VideoStudio Express) that comes with VS.

Re: VS X3 MLE.msi file not recognized
I have Windows xp update? 3. Thinking there may be a computer problem, I did a Check Disk. I then uninstalled VS X3. I did another install. When about 80% installed(by the installation ribbon) , I got an 1174:UVGGPL.exe- Application Error box. The box said:
The Instruction at "0x01852fa9" referenced memory at "0x000d42240". The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program.
I clicked OK. The Installer Program said installation was complete. I clicked finished and was on the desktop.
[This happened the first time but I didn't copy the statements or mention it.]
I had saved the MLE.msi program in a folder CDS on my hard drive. I then started the program and chose Easy Edit. Again I got the
MLE Error 731: The source installation package for the product MLE is out of sync with the client package. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the Installation Package "MLE.msi".
I gave the location of my copy of the file, and it repeated the error. I pointed it to the CD folder CDS and the MLE.msi file, which it also didn't like. I canceled the installation of MLE.msi. I had to fight with the Windows installer, but finally succeeded. I closed the program. I then restarted the program and chose Advanced Edit. This loaded right up with no problem.
I assume the MLE.msi file is the one with the unreadable segment. Do I get a new disk, and how?
I purchased my VS X3 copy from Corel's web page.

Hello AHart,
It appears that your VideoStudio X3 is downloading the VideoStudio Pro X3 Fix for MLE Database Incompatibility with PaintShop Photo Pro X3, you can download the file directly from this link: http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 3525894592
