After three clean installs, every other app on the disk works including the WinZip. But the actual product doesn't. I've searched the net, tried phone support with music for 30 minutes, so thought I would post here hoping there is someone that has seen this. It's only on PSP X3 that wont open. All other software on the two disks open fine after install. I do have a temp dir on Win7, it has no owner and works fine. Not sure where the below message is coming from. I've searched the registry to see if the path for Corel PSP was bad but didn't find any entries. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
TC

Re: Getting No Valid temp direct defined on Win7
To add to this, I tried to install the demo and got the same thing. Not sure if it's compatible with Win7 64 bit. I did try running in XP Pro mode, but didn't have any luck there. Additional info is, I ran the cleanup tool through the last few before installing.
The good side is, all the other apps work fine that came with it, including WinZip. I was still running the old 8.0 version. I guess I'm the front runner of this error since there is no mention on google.

Re: Getting No Valid temp directory defined on Win7
That is a strange one, I have it installed on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Works just fine, most any 32 bit software will thanks to SysWow64 which is what handles 32 bit software on 64 bit Windows. This may be a long shot but if you have another hard drive or partition handy you can change the temp directory to another location to see if the problem still exists. Here's how, click Start on the taskbar, right click Computer and select Properties from the drop down menu. In System Properties under the Advanced tab you will see Environment Variables. Click Environment Variables and scroll down until you see TEMP and TMP, select each one individually and click edit. The default value will be (C:\temp) change the C:\ to the drive letter of another hard drive on your system or another partition. For example (E:\temp). Once you have changed both to the new directory click OK in Environment Variables and Apply in System Properties. Now that your temp directory is moved try installing again.

Re: Getting No Valid temp directory defined on Win7
That worked. For some reason the system temp directory was under windows of which I cant even access as an admin without changing security. I put both temp directories, both mine and system on C:\Temp. Thanks for the help!
