Cropping? How

How does one crop video, I have some clips for a video I am working on. I need the footage but I just want to crop out the unwanted part of the clip at the bottom of the footage. Thank you

Welcome to the forums,

Drag-n-drop the Cropping video filter to your clip. Video filters are found by clicking first on the FX icon. This may open to All. The crop filter is found under the 2D Mapping effects. You can select a template from the drop-down located to the left of the Customize Filter. You will then probably want to customize it further, so click on the customize filter button. In the dialog that opens, you can adjust the width, height, if the filter is stationary, the background color, or not use a background color, and then animate the cropping by using keyframes.

Thank you so much, I am new, very new, and am completely lost at it. Is there a book on this stuff or a PDF file some where. I need somthing to help me out, I am starting to get more fustrated day by day. Thank you
