Uninstalling previous versions
Currently running the most recent VS9, wondering if it is safe to uninstall VS6, VS7 ESD and VS8 from the system. No other files have been generated that need to be saved.
Hi,
Read older messages about this subject, it has been discussed already.
What I remember is that uninstall may remove common files that are used by the latest version also. Problem if you did an upgrade.
If you have a box version Repair-install would solve the problem, if you have an ESD then you could lose needed files. Make a backup first so you can copy the files back. Then is no repair function with the ESD version.
So I read anyway.
Again, there was a thread about this no so long ago.
