History of Corel Priorities

Post by mangurian »

I am new to Corel VS and purchased VS X3 after using the trial and I really like it. I understand that VS has been around for quite a while with many versions. As a newbie, I am unfamiliar with how Corel usually handles fixes and what their priorities are. Does anyone know if they would typically put folks to work on handling problematic file types (e.g some versions of MP4 Hi Def) or do they concentrate on new features? I am trying to decide if I should invest in a comprehensive conversion program as a "front end" before editing in X3 or should I be patient. I have had good luck with the trial version of Prism's converter and it is not too expensive. Can someone with more experience offer any insights?

Thanks, :)

yikes !! I just read that patch 3 addresses some mp4 issues........perhaps I am in luck.
I will test it out.
Thank You Corel.
