Jitter problems - VS 7

Post by ennastu »

Hi all,

I'm not new to Video Studio. I've been using VS 7 for a while now without any issues with capture, rendering and burning DVDs. It's been a few months since my last project and now all of a sudden when I go to capture in DV format (same as always), the video looks like it's in slow motion or jittery and the audio has occasional clicking. This NEVER happened before. I tried changing the project properties to Field Order A and B, Compression to Uncompressed, DV Video Encoder -- type 1 and 2. I have plenty of hard drive space. I even defragmented both hard drives. Yet, I get the same results. I can't figure out what changed. Any advise would be greatly appreciated?

Here are my specs:
camcorder - Sony DCR-TRV 340 (Digital 8)
PC - 2.67 GHz P4 w/512ram w/80gig primary hard drive and 120gig secondary video hard drive

Thanks!!!

Problem Fixed - Norton Anti Virus was the cause

I wanted to let all of you know that I solved my own problem. I'm putting this post out here in case anyone has similar issues. My issue was ALL because of the upgrade I did to Norton Anti Virus 2005. Once I uninstalled Video Studio and re-installed it, my problem was fixed!
