Plain dotted line - possible?

Post by sisom »

Hi, I've just noticed that the 'dotted line' setting, when drawing a line, isn't a plain dotted line, it's interspersed with two pixel dots. Is there a single pixel dotted line setting anywhere in PI X3?

Look under the Line Styles on the attribute bar. There should be one that just has 1 dot between them.

Or just dots..

Hi Ron, this is what happens when I select the dotted line:

The hairline option doesn't even produce a dotted line at all, just a solid line. The 1px option produces 2px wide dots at regular spaces along the line (I haven't counted but the next one in the example above is off the screenshot) and also 2px wide spaces!

I downloaded and had a look at your file. I see what you're referring to. It must be a bug with the program. Sadly we are just stuck with it.

Thanks for checking it, Ron, I thought it might be a problem with my installation, which nobody else was experiencing.

The solution for me was to just screengrab part of the line which was correct, then paste it back in multiple times, as I was only using it for a horizontal divider, so it was quite easy to do.
