Video Studio Pro X3 Service Pack 3 is available

Post by HugoM »

I discovered by chance that Service pack 3 is available. Although it is still listed on the web page as Service Pack 2, the link now points to VSProX3_Patch3.exe instead of the previous VSProX3_Patch2.exe (but the description appears to have changed). I examined VSProX3_Patch3.exe through Properties and it gave a date of November 25.

Have now installed it, and have version 13.6.2.69... Incidentally, the time stamp on my file was 26 November, as opposed to 25 November above...

My download was a tiny bit different at 49.4 MB (vs 49.5) which may have to do with my O.S. (Windows 7 64-bit), maybe?

Interesting... My X3 is also now at version 13.6.2.69, but I rechecked the time stamp and, for me, it is indeed Nov 25 (vs your 26). Because of that, and the small size difference, I will now redownload...

...I redownloaded. The same small differences remain (strange, but so are computers), so I won't bother to reapply the patch.

Thanks,

Hugo

Hi everyone,
I just checked for updates through VS X3 and it said there were no updates found. Is this a pre-release/leaked update?
Can anyone who has downloaded it tell me what changes it makes, bugs it fixes? I am curious, but having been burned with updates to other software, I'm also a bit cautious. I'll be monitoring this thread.
Thanks for your feedback,

Larry

Hi again,
I downloaded the new Patch. The web page called it Patch 2, but the file name is "VSProX3_PATCH3.exe". The file size is 49.4 Mb after download to my Vista PC. I'm going to install it and play around.

Hi

Thanks for the size info,
I have downloaded again and now have a file at 49.4 MB.—installed

Strange about the first download size as the download seemed to complete ok.

And mine remains 49.5 MB and 26 November... Even stranger... though I am at least prepared to believe the date difference may have had something to do with the International Time Zone!!! (NOT!!!)
