Open source DVD burn software
My daughter has need of software to burn dvd's from her old digital tapes. She has an older copy of adobe premier and has the editing done. The tapes are probably d-avi? Any recommendations for her. She is using windows xp prof'. Should i just buy her VS-x3 so she can use that burner that corel lets us download? Thanks for all help.
Re: Open source DVD burn software
To create the proper DVD structure (VIDEO_TS folder, IFO & and VOB files, etc.), you need more than "burning" software... You need DVD Authoring software.
Since the editing is already done, Corel Movie Factory (Currently $30 USD) might be the way to go. (Movie Factory should have no trouble converting DV/AVI files to VOB/MPEG-2, but please download the trial version first.

Two open-source DVD authoring programs:
DVD Flick
DVD Styler
