Hi, I am currently on a trial but will be purchasing a full version soon. I am getting a new computer and need to transfer over all my projects and related information to my new PC. How do I do this with the existing videos I have created?
Thanks
Jared

Using the Smart Package feature will put all your project's media together for transfer.

Re: Transfer Projects to new computer
Just a little more advice here..
Make sure to check the folder that you Smart Package your project to, for all files needed. I used Smart Package for MSP 8, so I could work on a project while away from home. I just assumed that it did package all the files used in my project. When I launched the project, I was surprised when it called for relinking of some files, and they were not included when the program Smart Packaged it. Those files are on another computer at home...

Thanks much, so basically I need the .vsp files correct? I could theoretically go into the folder and copy all the .vsp files and then relink the videos. I assume you have to relink the videos since they are now located in a different folder...if in fact they are a different file path. Are there more files than just this that are needed to transfer them?
Thanks
Jared

Re: Transfer Projects to new computer
If you just move or copy the files, whether they be the VSPs or the media files, then yes you will have to relink them. But what we are telling you is if you use the Smart Package feature you will not have to relink, provided all the files for the project are in the same folder.

Got it, I'll see about setting up the new PC with the same folder and see if they all relink. Thanks,
