[Solved] NIK Color Efex Stopped Functioning

I have the NIK Color Efex sampler that I received when I purchased PSP. It was working with no problem on PSP X3 for months and and now is no longer functioning. When I launch the plugin everything looks fine and I can see the results on the plugin screen. However, when I click OK, the effect is not applied to my image. There is no change to the image whatsoever.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing NIK Color Efex but still no luck. It may be coincidence, but the plugin failure occurred right after I applied the PSP X3 Ultimate package.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello kathy_9,

You may want to do a clean reinstallation of the PSP X3 Ultimate. First, uninstall the NIK Color Efex and manually remove PSP X3 by follow these steps:http://corel.custhelp.com/app/answers/d ... _id/764432. Then install the PSP X3 Ultimate using the disc installer or by redownloading it from the order email that was sent to you or your corel account. To redownload it from your corel account follow these steps: http://corel.custhelp.com/app/answers/d ... _id/758190. Then download all applicable updates from this link.

Once done, then reinstall the NIK Color Efex.

Just wanted to post back that my issue with NIK is solved. I downloaded the patch referenced in this thread http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=39687 and voila - back to normal. I had tried updating through the Help menu but the patch wasn't offered, so the link did the trick. Thanks again, Kathy
