Patch 3 PSPPX3 Organizer Problem

Post by ronzie »

After cropping and saving a .tif imported from an external application in the Full editor, the organizer shows in its image selection bar a corrupted preview. Loading it into the Organizer window it looks OK. Further processing and saving (as a different name for versioning) in the Full Editor displays these tifs correctly in the Organizer preview bar.

No problems with patch 2. This is the .15 patch 3.

More Info. The image was exported as a 16 bit tif from Canon Digital Pro Photo Viewer v. 3.9.2 (this is the RAW editor) into a folder used for corel image work. The Organizer thumbnail bar correctly show this image and it loaded into the preview window and then into the full editor OK. It was only after saving the image (it was demoted to 8 bit) after cropping and histogram adjustments that the saved Organizer image in the selector bar showed as corrupt. Further images saved from the Full editor showed in the Organizer selection bar as OK.

Hello ronzie,

There are a lot of reason why you are getting the message corrupted preview. Is it possible for you to get a screenshot of that screen that says corrupted preview? For meantime, you may want to try and reset your workspace, in order to be sure that this is not caused by a damaged work space. To reset your work space, just press and hold down the SHIFT key when you try to open the PaintShop Pro X3, then just click on the OK button when you received the screen below.

I'll be waiting for that screen shot.

I noticed when loading the corrupted image into the Organizer Preview window that first the corrupted image showed and then got overwritten by the full image. This has only started with Patch 3 to my knowledge.

In the selection bar, the exported 16 bit tif is the second from the left. The cropped version is the first on the left. I forgot what process produced the third corrupted image. The fourth is the final edited version.

I want to wait for your comment before resetting the workspace.
