Missing Date Picture Taken

Post by GerryB »

I have just installed PSP X2 onto my new Windows 7 PC - after running the update patch I find any modified images have no 'Date Picture Taken' dates entered when viewed in explorer.

Is there a setting to activate this in PSP X2 as this as I did not have this problem on my old XP system. The original images have the infomation it's only after saving from PSP.

Hope someone can help

Many thanks

I believe this is an X2 issue that is now fixed with X3.
I have had lots of trouble with "Date Picture Taken" over the years
but now I use X3 it seems to be resolved with the X3 Patches installed.

Something changed with Vista that PSP doesn't cope with but the
"Date Picture Taken" is actually there and available if you use a program like Exifer
or just look at the image Properties Details in Explorer.

(I remember there was a .DLL that we discovered that fixed EXIF things in X2 but I would have to hunt for it).

The best answer I believe is to upgrade to X3.

Hello GerryB,

Tadjio is correct. Also please keep in mind that PSP X2 is not compatible with Windows 7. That is why you may encounter some issue with the program while using it on Windows 7.

Thanks for your confirmation, Abiel.

But note, this is equally an issue with Vista as well as Window7.

Hello Gerry,

If you interested in using PSP X3, I suggest that you download the trial first to see if that works for you. You can download the trial at www.corel.com/trials
