Hello Maikku,
If you received that message, you should see the CONTINUE ANYWAY button to continue the download, if not then you may want to try downloading the trial using another browser like Firefox or Safari. You can directly download the trial from this link.

Any feedback on this one yet? I just purchased Video Studio and Photo Studio and neither will install with the same compatibility issue.

Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
The only time that I've seen this error message, was when (just this past Sunday) I installed MSP 8 to my Vista laptop. MSP 8 is not certified to run on Vista, but does, when I set the compatibility mode to WinXP SP2. The program still installed, and there was a checkbox to not show the message. It would also appear each time I launched the program if I did not check the box.
Have you tried downloading the file from the link Abiel Corel provided. I would re-download and re-install it. It should not throw that error for any of the current OSs. Is your WinXP operating system by chance have at least the SP2 installed? Make sure that it is up to at least that, it should probably be as current as you can get it, which I believe is SP3.

Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
Thanks Ron, I am Windows XP SP3. I redownloaded and even tried the trial versions from corel.com and the same error. I had X2 installed so I completly removed it, uninstalled virus software and still no luck. I still get the Windows Logo Compatibility issue.
Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
After multiple days of struggle and trying everything I have found on the internet. I am happy to say that as I write this, I am finally able to install my new software. I am not sure if it was reinstalling Windows XP sp3 that fixed it or installing the .net drivers from microsoft site but I saw a post stating that both of those solved the issue for others and that is what has allowed me to finally be able to install the software. Hope that helps someone.

Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
using Windows 7
7 hours of trying and failing to install PSP X3 Ultimate. This is a purchased, downloaded with serial version. It was running yesterday, before I re formatted my pc. Every time I dbl clk the PSPP_X3_PF file, it goes through a process of UN installing, finally quitting because obviously I haven't installed it yet. Should I be installing my X2 version first?
PSP X3 Ultimate was working fine yesterday. Today I reformatted my pc and tried to install again. I purchased the downloaded version PSPP_X3_PF with serial a while back and tried to install today. I may have made a mistake by installing my X2 copy first and then going to the X3 file to upgrade it but, I did go through the motions of uninstallling X2 again. When I try to install X3, the box opens and eventually displays a message saying "Are you sure you want to completely REMOVE PSP...and all of it's features? Of course X3 is not even installed. The Zap Control app does not list it in the drop down either.
any help surely appreciated.

Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
Figured nit out myself but, I have to ask...do all posts take so long to actually show up? Mine took 3 days.
What I had to do was turn off Windows Firewall and then it would install. That seems crazy because I would have thought that a User Acct box would have come up asking me, "Are you sure you want to install..."

Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
Hi,
I have just purchased the CorelPaintShop Photo Pro X3 software, downloaded it and when I try to install I receive the same message. "The software you are installing has not passed Window Logo Testing to verify its compatability with Windows XP."
Are there instructions to remedy this? I called the support number and they were not very helpful.
Thanks - - John

@ jpalatianos
Have you read the very first two posts of this thread ?
The procedure of installing the purchased program should be exactly the same as for the trial version.

Re: Problems installing PSP X3 trial
This is very bizarre for a program that is most certainly compatible with WinXP, as it was released last year, and Win7 being the current OS. Like I stated in my previous post, the only time I've received this error, is when I install Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8 on my Vista box. It was developed under WinXP, is not Vista Certified, yet it runs fine on Vista using WinXP compatibility mode.jpalatianos wrote:Hi,

I also have PSP X3 installed on my WinXP (SP3) box. I've installed it several times, and never had this error pop up on it. IMHO, this is a false error, and you should just choose to ignore it. It should proceed to install. Did you continue to install or just quit at that point?
