Can you mix video and stills in the same "Slideshow&quo

I am working a 50th birthday slide show and I want to add both video and stills to the same slideshow. Is this possible, and if it is how? Nothing in the manual has lead me to believe I can, but someone I meet in the software industry claims I can. I didnt get to ask him how though. Please help

You can't actually put them in the same slideshow but there is a trick to make it look like you did.

1) Make a slideshow of everything that comes before the first video.
2) Make a "video slideshow" of the first video.
3) Make a slideshow of everything after the first video that's before the second video.
4) Repeat steps 1-3 until you have it all in there.
5) Now, click on File -> Preferences -> Output format and switch it from "back to menu" to "play next clip."

Now, when you start the first slideshow it will play through the whole thing.
