(This seemed like the most appropriate forum for the product I'm discussing despite not being an exact match.)
I have a TEAC TV tuner. When I open Video@Home 2.0, the preview window and control panel come up, but then it freezes my whole computer. I can't do anything at that point but a hard reboot.
Everything used to work just fine. Then I had a nasty malware problem that resulted in my local computer shop reinstalling Windows XP Home. I have no idea if they put the same version back on that my PC originally had. I don't think it is because I got my computer in '05, and this WinXP is copyrighted '07. It's Service Pack 3. The shop also loaded all the Windows updates available at the time. (They also increased the memory.) Ever since I got my PC back, I've had this Video@Home problem.
I've turned off as many things running in the background as I could in order to reinstall the program, but I'm still having the same problem.
I have no idea what to do. I think it's a driver problem, and I think it's some sort of conflict with Windows. I've been looking at buying a new video capture device, but after reading the Amazon reviews on several, I get the feeling I could have this problem no matter what device I use.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Ulead Video@Home 2.0 freezes my computer
I have moved your post as it was completely unrelated to Video Studio. I admit, however, that I too was unsure where to move it to as I had never heard of Ulead Video@home despite my having been using Video Studio since version 7 nearly 7 years ago! However, I found in a Google search a January 2006 review of it, which at least told me what it was: an analogue TV box and associated software. I hope you find someone who might know something about it, but I would not be holding my breath... Ulead was taken over by InterVideo which in turn was taken over by Corel, and a lot of water -- and many key programs -- have flowed under the bridge since then!
