When I copy and and paste an object or photo it always pastes a smaller dimension than the original. I'm copy/pasting between Photo X2 windows.
For example, I am making a photo array. My original photo or object measures 6" x 9". I copy and paste it onto another canvas (sized 18" x 24") but the object measures only 3 x 5 rather than 6 x 9 on the new canvas. I can resize it larger but it loses quality, of course.
Why does this happen and how do I keep things the same size from window to window? I save photos as PNG when I'm going to work on them, if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Re: PSPPX2 pasted objects are resizing themselves
Do they have the same ppi? Go to your Image Information dialog from the image menu. Image->Image Information(Shift + I)
You should see an area that says Pixels per inch or pixels per centimeter. Do these numbers match between images? If not then something that's 6x9 in one image with a lower ppi will appear smaller in an image with a larger ppi.
Remember, how large the image is in inches is determined by how many pixels are in an inch inside that image and how many pixels you have.
Does the actual pixel count change? That is the most telling.
Instead of copy and paste (if you are using Windows instead of tabs) you can drag layers between images and see if that makes a difference. Just go to your layers palette, grab the layer you want to copy into the other image and drag it ontop of the other image and release it should add it as a new layer.

Thanks for that tip LeviFiction. I didn't know you could drag and drop that way.
