Hi Ron,

My apologies for the typo but I meant .MOD files (used for standard def video files by JVC/Panasonic and Canon). I understand that this is basically a mpeg format, by looking at this extract from Wikipedia:
MOD video can be viewed on a computer with a player that is capable of reproducing MPEG-2 video. Renaming the file extension from video.MOD to video.MPEG might help software like VLC Media Player to recognize it as a valid format. This video can be easily authored for watching on a DVD player without recompression, because it is fully compliant with DVD-video standard

Well we're not getting any better, because since you're using VS 10, AND your source files are MOD, you're actually worse off than if they would be MOV.
VS 10+ Reviewer's Guide wrote: Input File Format Support
• Video: AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, QuickTime,
Windows Media Format, DVR-MS , 3GPP*, 3GPP2*
• Audio: Dolby Digital Stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1,
MP3, MPA, QuickTime, WAV, Windows Media
Format, AAC *
• Images: BMP, CLP, CUR, EPS, FPX, GIF87a, ICO, IFF,
IMG, JP2, JPC, JPG, PCD, PCT, PCX, PIC, PNG, PSD,
PXR, RAS, SCT, SHG, TGA, TIF/TIFF, UFO, WMF
• Disc: DVD, Video CD (VCD), Super Video CD (SVCD)
MOD files were not supported with VS 10. You might try first changing the extension to MPEG and see how it goes. If not try converting them using a conversion utility program, like erightsoft.com's Super. Or if you already have VLC, it is suppose to be able to do file conversions.

hmmm, but i have been using .MOD files for the past 4 years without problems (more or less...). VS10 does recognise this format as when I import video files the ones with .mod extension appear among the ones that can be loaded as mpeg format (see picture below).
I start thinking that something is corrupted in the SW and i might try to reinstall VS10.

Previously you suggested to send the error report to the Corel support. However I dont know how to generate/retrieve the error report with the details that i have previously posted (they were just screenshots). The error report generated by VS10 is a text file which does not include those details.
