jerky vid in clip mode. OK in project mode with mp4. ok wmf

Hi Totally new to this technology. Very interesting.......but the instructions are lacking.
Hope the title describes the issue.

Imported a file from a Xacti HD2000 cam as a mp4 file.
Dragged into time line and the playback in clip mode was jerky, but smooth in project mode.
So I saved the file as a wmf (like the example files) and it ran OK in both modes.

Is there a simpler way to import as a wmf file (or a format that will operate smoothly in both modes), rather than import as mp4, then export as wmf, then re-import as wmf.

I found the batch convert function .......... but the instruction do not clearly state how to use it.

Repeated renderings will only decrease the quality. It sounds like you are not using Proxy files. Proxy files are lower quality "copies" that can be edited more easily, then are converted back to the original HD file type.

Hello Nixy,

To use the batch convert, you can follow the steps from the Videostudio Online Help from this URL: http://on.fb.me/b1pS8J

For your reference I pasted the steps below. Batch Convert allows you to convert a large number of files to another format in sequence.

To do Batch Convert
1. Click in the toolbar.
2. Click Add and then choose the files you want to convert.
3. Select an output folder in Save in folder.
4. In Save as type, choose your desired output type.
5. Click Convert.

The result is shown in the Task Report dialog box. Click OK to finish.
