ho ho hum no curses PI12 & Windows 7! humbug

Post by garjobo »

PI12 used to work ok on my last machine.

Since updated to Windows 7, more ram etc - was expecting big, faster things - esp when uploading / altering photos..but sadly..nope! half the time it closes on my..losing the little work ive managed to do. Other times, i save and then cant open a UFO file - has too 'think' and then ..closes on me..other times...out of memory -nonense.

SO - BIG QUESTION FOR THE DAY - please reply..

Time to bin PI12 as clearly not fit for purpose ( i should sue!! does cost money these programmes you know..youd think they'd work!! ) and buy...what exaclty...?

Happy to branch into slightly more complicated areas..although use this program mainly for dvd covers, moving a few photos around..nowt too constructive.

I have Photoshop elements 7 - pre loaded on my machine..relucant to learn a whole new program..particulaly when theres elements 8 or even 9 out there!...SO - what very good program should i use...and works with windows 7?

Please adivse.

Hi garjobo,

I'm Abiel from Corel Support. I'm sorry for this, since PhotoImpact 12 and even X3 is not compatible with Windows 7.. However, there is a way for you to run old programs on Windows 7. Just follow the steps provided by Microsoft. You can access the URL: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... of-Windows, please do keep in mind, since PhotoImpact is not compatible with Windows 7, I cannot assure you the stability of the program.
