0xc0150002 after AVControlSDK fatal error fix

Post by jowem »

hi all!

I got following problem:

A while back (+/- one month) my Ulead VideoStudio 11 didn't work anymore, I tried reïnstalling it, but error kep comming.
The error was fatal error on AVControlSDK installation. OK there was a fix on the website.

After applying the patch from the support page, the installation continued normally, but when I now try to start the program I get the error: Application terminated unexpectatly: error code: 0xc0150002

After applying the upgrade to the software I get the error message: Program not configured properly...

Sigh... Does this have to do with updates? Like Microsoft Visual C 5 library updates? I can't seem to see any?

Anyone got a solution to this problem? I geuss others have it because for AVControlSDK fatal error there was a patch.

Thx in advance. :?

Hi All

I took a second look and the culprit was: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 ATL update kb973923 x86 8.0.50727.4053.

removed it, reïnstalled Video Studio and now everything is fine!

bye :P

Back again,

for those with the same problems/symptoms: 0xc0150002 now there is a new/additional problem.
(I forgot the message on this board which described the same problem, so I edit mine. This solution worked for me)

After the completing install, connecting the camera, and.... No device to capture from.

The wizard even gives me two errors back. Again the failing component is: AVControlSDK.

AGAIN: Reinstall the complete videostudio from scratch. This time WITH your camera connected to your computer...
Alas, when you startup VideoStudio, there will be a source to capture from.
