Chapters not showing up in DVD creating software

Post by zaboo »

Good Day All,

Using VideoStudio Pro X3, I've combined many mpeg files into 1 file. Along the way I added chapter points and named them. I then go to Share>Create Video File>DVD Format. The file gets rendered and is saved. Then I go to Share>Create Video Disc>I've chosen both softwares and when I import the Video file that I created the chapter points, which I was created in VideoStudio Pro X3, doesn't get pulled into the DVD authoring software. How can I bring in these chapter points into either of the DVD authoring software that came included with VideoStudio Pro X3? Let me know and thanks to all in advance.

With previous versions of VS you could go straight from the project to burn without first creating a MPEG-2 file. That was how the chapter points created in the editing stage were carried over. If you create the MPEG-2 file before going to the burn module the chapter points are lost.

Now with X3 you must first create the MPEG-2 file before burning, thus wiping out your chapter points. You now must create your chapter points at the burn stage.

Hello zaboo,

If you have installed the VideoStudio X3 SP1, then you should have the DVD Movie Factory 7 SE installed under the Corel VideoStudio X3 folder. You can use that to burn and create chapters for your videos.
